What did a 2001 E430 cost new?
Hi,
I bought my 2001 E430 with 104,000mi about a month ago for under $9,000. It's in excellent condition now that I fixed the radio and CD player and I'm curious what this car cost when new. It has the basic features (no xenon or heated seats, etc.) but it does have the built in cell phone. I'm guessing about $55,000. I'm amazed that in just seven years a car this nice could lose over 80% of its value. Their loss is my gain, I guess...

My 2001 E430 4matic was $67.500 when new. It has all the options that was available in e-class cars then.

These cars have some issues. If you take care of them it will last you for years.
Enjoy your ride.

Mine (00 e430 4matic) stickered for about $65k.
Well, just the two front axles sell for $1200! (They also charge 6hrs or $600 labor to replace them)
As you know many parts are involved to add a 4matic system in a car. Also don't forget the transmission and power splitter for front and rear. 4matic has completely different front wheel setup.
The only way to know the difference is to compare identical cars non 4matic vs 4matic sticker prices.
Anyone?
