My E 200 has 251 k kilometers on the clock
The last weeks a metallic screaming occurred after cold start, which vanished after some 100meter driving. Got worse day by day.
Because all the other engine ancillaries are pretty new, I was suspicious about the generator Bosch 0123335002 , Merc.No. 0091540202.
No play to be found at the pulley, bearing was smooth.
After dismantling the generator I found a badly worn rear bearing.
Seems this bearing is pretty much more exposed to weather conditions than the front bearing.
After replacing both of them, everything is fine
