Hi Folks! I recently took my 2000 E 320 through an all-cloth car wash. The machine snapped off my radio antena. (The small stubby kind on the back of the roof by the back window.) Can I just replace the black insert in the antena body or do I have to replace the antena assembly? If the latter is the case, how do I go about doing that job?
I recently did it and added a few more tips as have others, and there are pics as well!
Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

Just so you know... this is not the radio antenna... it is the TeleAid and GPS antenna... the radio antenna is embedded in the rear window... I say this not to be a know it all, but, in case you have an issue with radio reception you don't want to be chasing the problem with the wrong antenna.
And this is one of the many reasons why my car never, and I mean never, sees a car wash

I don't like the chemicals... I use meguiars and have for years... I like to hand wash so I know that everything is covered and the biggest thing for me is wiping down the car after a wash... everything gets wiped down... door sills, doors, trunk lid, drain rails, under hood and engine.
