My 97 E420's remote receiver in the door works, but the window is cracked. The receiver on the trunk does nothing and the window is cracked. Can the windows be sourced, or do you need to buy the receivers as a unit?
Went there. Good resource. Bad answer. I can't believe there is only the option of replacing the vin coded dealer only receiver for $450 for just the part only because the plastic cover on the door handle covering the receiver is cracked.
So, my question is; Is the clear plastic cover integral to the receiver or part of the door handle?
