Not sure?

Looking to purchase a 98 e320 wagon... 128,000 miles. What am I getting myself into? Buying from MB dealership..... Should I or shouldn't I purchase? One owner.. Non-smoker.... No accidents...

Confused BMW 525it owner....:crybaby2

All honest opinions are welcome!

the cars are great

the problems are rust, spring perch rust issues, and many other things listed on this site. But you'll see most owners of 10 year old e class do almost all the work themselves, dealers want up to 10X more than the job is worth. so if you work on you own cars this site will save you a ton of money and you'll have a great car that will return good MPG when running right.

That would have to be pristine 4-Matic.
ebay "buy it now" prices are in the range of $9k. Meaning with some search you can get it for $7,000

that's

if you are in the market to gamble on the crap sold on ebay.
most hoopdies are sold to unsuspecting buyers on ebay.

If you prefer dealers, you can buy this one for $6500

or Very nice 4-Matic for $6900
prices still negotiable

Note

both 98's with over 100k miles. One with 30% more than 100k miles. The dealer one purchased at auction.
I hate pissing matches, but you are comparing apples to oranges if you think a 98 with 130k plus miles is anywhere near a 1999 under 100k miles, just to prove you can find a cheaper car.Which I am sure you can, since unmaintained cars that are in unsafe condition, that I would not let my family drive are what you specialize in.
you win
