W210 auto transmission leak

W210 auto transmission leak

Hi all I have a 1997 e230 (W210) with auto transmission and it has sprung a leak!
Transmission fluid seems to be comming from the small rubber gaiter on the parking shift lock linkage on the gearbox: (See attached picture).

Has anyone had experience in repairing this? - as the Merc manual is unclear on this.
Would welcome your feedback.
