Mercedes has raised the ride hight. Personally I would set the hight to have the least amount of wear on the CV joints, if you lower the CV will wear out prematurely.
If you want to cut the springs there is a spring shop of the first order behind Lesters Diner on State Road 84. They can build any spring you want from golf cart to semi truck, and can cut down springs no problem.
