Hi,
In my W124, W163 and W202 when the vehicle is in Drive and idling, if you remove your foot from the brake pedal the vehicle will slowly move forward at a speed of 5-10MPH. Is this supossed to happen on the W210 as well? (in my wagon, it does not). I know that when the W124 is low on tranny fluid, it will not propell forward and I'm wondering if the same is occuring with the W210. I have the tranny fluid measuring tool and it reads just a bit low but not enough for this phenomenon to occur.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks
I assume that the difference with W210 is, that those computer controlled engines idle very low. In my father's Toyota idle on neutral is 1100 rpm, what drops to about 800 after putting in gear. That gives the car pretty good propulsion.
I think you worry too much, but that this is often what the forum is about

My W210 does NOT move when in gear either. Neither does my SLK with the same gearbox and engine. Idles at about 600 RPM.
So you can stop worrying.
