as to whether it is 722.6 spec.
They state for all mb trans which clearly shows they know not of what they speak.
a 722.9 7 speed can not use 722.6 fluid and a 722.4 or 722.5 can not use 722.6 fluid For the price if a transmission I would get it shipped free from autohausaz.com for $14.91 a bottle and that way you are sure it is the real deal.
I have the special dip stick and free pan magnet for $42 delivered.
autohausaz.com has the filter and gasket.

They are only charging 6 bucks shipping for each additional 3 bottle purchase. So, that's only $61 for 6 bottles and they have several sets available for purchase. This looks like a decent deal to me.
My car currently has 72K on it so I think I may jump on this.
recently found the backwards compatible 722.9 fluid at their dealer for $11 a bottle. You might call yours

COOL! Thanks. I will look into that. I am sure the ebay seller is not going away anytime soon so I can always go back to it if need be. I will be getting the stick from you as soon as I am ready to do the change.

Just my .39 worth (inflation, you know), but since you don't have a converter plug you're not going to be able to change much. Personally I would consider dropping the pan, measure what you take out, swap out the filter, clean everything up and put the pan back on, then refill with what you measured out. Then use yumling's great DIY to use the transmission to cycle out the rest of the fluid, adding as necessary per the DIY. You'll need a lot more fluid, but then you're sure you changed out virtually all of it and you're good for another 75K. Cost-wise it's probably cheaper to do the partial change every 30K or so, but I'd rather do it and forget it.
Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg
