So I have been having problems with my 320, where its been idling rough. I took it into autozone and had them pull the codes, as it stands this is what I'm facing:
P0300 - B MISFIRE TWC DAMAGING
P0306 - B MISFIRE TWC DAMAGING
P0300 - A MISFIRE
P0306 - A MISFIRE CYL 6
P0303 - B MISFIRE TWC DAMAGING CYL. 3
P0301 - B MISFIRE TWC " " CYL 1
P0302 - " " CYL. 2
P0301 - A MISFIRE CYL. 1
P0302 - A MISFIRE CYL 2.
Okay, so I've figured out(not as though its been hard to work out) that I'm misfiring on all cylinders. I've replaced all the plugs and coils, the wiring harness, MAP, crank sensor all check out..
Multiple misfires seem most often to point to either A/F ratio (fuel supply, filter or pump or air filter/vacuum issue) or exhaust issues, such as a clogged cat. Those are things I would look at next. You didn't mention the fuel filter, may be worth changing if you haven't already.
Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

Greg thanks for getting back to me, the fuel filter/pump and air filter are all clear. I've had these issues on and off for bout a month now, and have been troubleshooting areas where the problems could be. I have a hunch that if I look at the cat next, I may find the culprit It would be nice too, as I am doing a 800 mile roadtrip at the end of this week, and wouldn't mind this problem either being fixed, or atleast on the way to be.

Hi, AJ, O2 sensors can also be implicated as well. How many miles on the car? Is your mileage off? Plugging cats will drop your mileage as well. And while you have lots of codes, you don't have any that are EGR related, but pulling that to check proper function, vacuum lines, etc. is at least a way to eliminate that from any potential issue.
I don't have codes but in my "idle miss" post ohlord noted how to check cats, IR thermometers are cheap and plentiful so that's a much simpler task.
I just realized you also have the L6 and a few of the older 210s have started to show some wiring/engine harness issues (this was pretty common in the W124) so that's another place to look.
Just rolled over to 143k on the car.. as far as mpg goes, I'm getting 28-30, and hasn't really been effected by this. and it was indeed thru the 'idle miss' post which pointed me towards checking the cat. I had my local check the wiring harness, and crank sensor, and both have checked out to be in good condition..
and it continues...
AJ
throwing parts at it
Multiple misfire code p0300 and you have spent tons of money on all the things it might not be
All coils do not fail at the same time
Wire harness L6 was the new unit so that will not be the issue
Plugs and check the connectors Then get it on a scope or real time scanner and check o2 function and cat temp pre cat and post cat
Seems like a few dollars spent on proper diagnosis could have saved you a bundle.
