Recently acquired a 97 E420. My regular Sears 3&1/2 ton floor jack cannot reach the front center jack pad. Any recommendation for a low profile floor jack? Thanks, Shane
Turn the front wheels all the way (right or left) and go in
thru the gap between the front wheel and the rear of the wheel well. Sight from the front to be sure pad is centered on jack plate.
My car is lowered and I have the same problem. I've never tried going thru the rear of the wheel opening. I'll have to try that. For now I just have a couple scrap pieces of 2x10 lumber that I roll the front wheels up onto. It gives me just enough room to get the jack in place.
i use a snap on extension jack... built right and lasts forever... but it does come with a price... i got mine at a garage sale for 50 bucks... THATS A STEAL.... my friends 350z is 4 inches of the ground and using pieces of wood to climb up about an inch i can get the jack under there... works like a charm
