I dont know what the problem is but since the beginning of last week i havent been able to start my car in the morning without jumping it..The road side assistance guy came over and he said everything looks fine but Something is draining my battery while it is sitting...the battery is pretty new, bought it this year and i havent had any problems with the car for 6 months or so....anyone have any ideas what it could be?
i did have aftermarket lights intalled right when i bought the car but i havent had a problem with them

Hey, kdude. Without overlooking the obvious, you're sure all the interior lights are off, correct? And that none of the brake lights are on (bad brake light switch can cause this)? If those are good you're going to have to start troubleshooting. You'll have to run a load tester to verify a current drain and then start pulling fuses. Personally I'd start with whatever is running the aftermarket lights. If the load goes away you know you have a problem. If those check out then down the line you go. When you find the fuse that controls the circuit and pull it, your load tester will drop off and then you'll know it's something in that circuit. Once you've narrowed it to a circuit you can start looking further.
Good luck and enjoy the ride,
Greg

Those things can be a nightmare till you do what Greg says. I've seen it all. Glove compartment switch, rear defroster that on old Bug had low draw and the battery would last 1/2 day, but die overnight. Good luck.

rotten bugs!
Which reminds me, trunk light switches can fail and then your trunk light stays on, draining the battery.
Also, kdude, pop up the rear seat and see if there is water in there. That can short things and kill the battery. Although if Roadside Assist checked the battery I would think they should have seen that.
From my perspective the only thing worse than chasing electrical gremlins on a car is chasing them on your own car.
