Replacing Vent Wheel Lights
I've now finally gotten around to replace the lights on all three vent wheels and have created three separate sets of instructions.
Mine all went within a few weeks of each other, so when the first one dies, it may be worthwhile to replace them all. Or at least do both the passenger side and the center vent, since there are some procedures common to both. That way you also ensure that they have the same light intensity.
I think that the pre-facelift model does not have the vent lights? It may make a nice upgrade if you can find the face-lift vents in a scrapyard - assuming of course that they will fit.
Mr Moderator, maybe you can unstick the original one and stick this combined post?

Very good work. However, I do have a suggestion that you could add, if you want.
You show the removal of the wood dashboard trim on the passenger side in two of those entries. You should put a note in each saying that if you need to change both bulbs, do the other before you put the wood trim back in place.
Of greater concern, I can't seem to find the old thread in the DIY. What's the URL of your thread?

Matt,
It's under Body, trim, lighting, etc., as the first sticky under the Lighting heading. The person who added to the stickies obviously had a better command of English than I have and called it "DIY: Courtesy Light Replacement, Left Side HVAC vent control (w/pictures) " (Greg?)
Regarding the trim, I sort of assumed that anybody will first read the information and notice that the first part is the same, and not go through the replacement just to remove it again. But maybe it is a good idea that you have mentioned it.
