Can someone tell me if my 1999 E320 Side Mirrors fold in to avoid damage when parked on the street?

If your car has the option of folding mirrors there will be a button beside the trunk release switch that will fold them in . Other wise they will not fold back and stay back ......

According to my 2001 E320/E430/E55 sales brochure it was not an available option. I test drove a 2000 S500 that had those but I don't know if that was standard or optional.

My mirrors have a spring in there to allow them to flex backward slightly, and I suspect they do that to minimize damage in case you "clip" something.

the power mirror fold back feature does not exist for your car here in the USA.
to get that, you'd have to get someone like Sunil or SteveK to order the parts
and retrofit them onto your car.
