Do you have a

check engine light on?
Or is this error code showing when you run your onboard climate control diagnostics?
A1 is your dash cluster the b1459 k2 is a series interface that if in the climate control diagnostics can be cleared by pressing both auto buttons on the climate control while in error read mode.
run

If the first issue (cel on?)is what is you are getting on an obd2 scanner then we need to find the k2 interface.
So do the first item.
tell us if your cel is on.
Clear the code on the climate control.
check back ,before you do a battery reset if someone suggests that first

Good Evening Folks,
Well I'm back. This evening I got the Dreaded CEL.. stating "Check Engine Electronics". Not having a scanner, I can't get the code. My question is, with this message, which direction should I be looking?
Thanks,
AJ

Hey, AJ. Per your profile you're in transit, so I'd say you should be looking online for the nearest Autozone, plug it into your GPS and take that exit. They'll read the codes for free...and get the codes from them, don't just accept their diagnosis...then you can come back here and check them against the list.

If you instead decide to just shotgun it, you could easily spend a grand and still have the CEL.

Note the deals sticky, you can buy an excellent code reader from Harbor Freight for $40. Invaluable if you plan on doing it yourself.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

price

went up
Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices
60 bucks now.I must have pointed so many people to the deal that they raised the price
it is still worth its weight in gold if it avoids one trip to the dealer or shop.

I'm still so confused, so b1459 k2 is a series of interface, but what does that have to do with error? I mean the question is, what error is this, the K2 interface is failing? or the A1 dash cluster is failing? And what is a dash cluster? Another word, is this even an error or just some kind of warning message? I went to Harbor Freight but it doesn't give you instruction on how to use the tool, do you guys know how to plug the reader into the car to read the code? Please help

I have a 1997 E420 and just put in the retrofit fan regulator, so now I have the fan blowing all kinds of air, problem is it's not COLD air. I went through the list of error codes, and I have a "e61-234" and a "e-FF". Any help on what these mean would be much appreciated.
