Sure, but instead of guessing my first suggestion would be to check for codes. Please complete your profile re vehicle and location, too as that is helpful information. If you are in the US Autozone and other places will read the codes for free, that will give us something to go on.

and remember after you hook the battery up again,you need the radio code and you need to start the car and turn the steering wheel all the way left to all the way right and back a few times to center the steering wheel angle sensor.
Was the oil level OK?Did you check that the maf was fully plugged in and that all the hoses for the intake are in place?
Any check engine light?
