I think that your pay back analysis is right on, but as you know the US will have a new administration soon, and I FEEL that we will see gas at 7-9 a gallon in the very near future, and a return to gas lines. So at the first sign of trouble I will be dual Fueling this wonderful car.
I am glad to find a vendor that can convert to a REAL Dual Fuel ( liquid or gas ) option.
Thanks for the help.

Not a bad backup plan at all, here in Florida before and after huricane Wilma we had huge gas lines, the problem after the storm was we had no electric to pump gas. People were going nuts. Be nice to have a car with 900 mile range.
No I didn't.
But it is hard to take serious the $2.99 prices in it.
So let's talk today. Average 200 model of E class to drive 600 miles will need 20 gallons of diesel or 26 gallons of Premium, or 28 gallons of Propane.
The prices TODAY are $4.61, $4.05 and $3.29.
Which one will come cheaper?

Well, that is about what I though, the cost is so close, at this point in time it is a wash. I agree that the price of LPG seems to be tied to gasoline here in the US. I did call my local LPG dealer for some prices on tanks (lease) and equipment to fill car. (I have a 30 KW generator LPG and one 500 gal tank) Also called my insurance company to see if there is any change in coverage for a gasoline/LPG car.
Next question what is the safest location for pressure vessel? One website shows a tank in the spare wheel well and that is in the crush/crumple zone
