Why?

Why do the items need to be replaced?
Is the car at a MB dealer?
Does the car start?

I would get more info before you purchase any parts

Do not bother trying to use a used ECU. It will not work in another car once 40 starts have been achieved.

If the ECU needs to be replaced for some reason and the car was not originally shipped with DAS, the infrared controller will also need to be replaced due to an update. My '96 had this problem before I bought it.

Post Try first

I would suggest that you first take it to a local mechanic that is familiar with Benz. I had my E420 that when I bough it nothing electronic worked on it , not even signal. But the car would run. I took it to the dealer and they had the car for one hour in the shop and could not find the problem. Telling me that there were to many issues with the car and several units with problems. Saying it would be better to take the car to the person I bought it from since the repairs would cost to much.

Very sad, right?

So after studying how the car, one beautiful day, I discovered that the cable that was going into the ECO was loose on the bottom part. How, I don't know. And whats wors is that it would look connected when you just look at it.

I am not saying that is exactly your problem, but in my opinon it is not something that expensive. Maybe hard to find whats wrong, but once you do it will not cost that much.

This little story was a very disapointing experence for me. You take your car to the Benz delaer thinking that they are the experts....We are wrong.

IMO: Benz delaerships just have the tools that we don't have. Not the knowledge.

In the USA Benz is overpriced. I am not saying it is not a great car.

I meant ECU not ECO, in the paragraph above.
