i just got my E320 today and i love it. sorry if this is a dumb question. but i was wondering if the 1998 E320s have MPG display. i dont see it so im guessing they dont but i figured i'd ask. thanks Matt

No, There is no display for MPG or Distance Until Empty like other cars with trip computers. There is a neet diagnostic mode in the climate control that will show you speed and tach readings in digital real time as well as battery volts. Do a search on here for more on that.

I was quite dissapointed to learn that my E320 didn't have MPG read out either, pretty much all of my previous cars have had this and it is suprising how useful the distance to empty feature is. My old S500 had an analogue readout but no digital either.

I never owned 1998 e-class. The e320 just I sold was 2000 year model and it had a multi function display that also showed MPG. I have a 2001 E430 and it's basically same. This display is located right under the speedometer. Yours is not exactly the same type but should have a multi function display under the speedometer. I would thing even 1998 should show MPG. If not it is with year 2000 and on.

Good for you. If you plan on keeping it long buy a code scanner to save yourself money and time, also don't put cheap gas. Expect to get 18 city and up to 28 hwy @ 60mph. What was your previous car?
