Ebay Smart Keys - Good ?? - Benzworld.org

i just read all the smart key posts and still have a question

Smart keys on ebay for under $30
my local stealor says $55 to program

will these keys take dealer programming ???

get it in writing from your dealer....and that you will get reimbursed for your
Ebay purchase if their reprogramming doesn't work. if they guarantee that
they can do it...and is successful, get back to us and let us know.

otherwise, your dealer is probably wrong. the overwhelming evidence indicates
that preowned/used Smartkeys are not recycleable and not reprogrammable.

I have read enough posts about the eBay keys that I would not try that route. It's too bad you missed the deal a lot of us early birds got on the new style chrome keys from a dealer (thanks again to Raymond for that).

too bad i missed that but did not have the car until friday.

so they r still cheaper then my dealer , i was quoted $200, but maybe service will give me the same 30% discount that i get at parts (shop price).\
going to get some bulbs and holders on monday will check in person on the used remote programming

was picking up parts today and got confirmation that MB Can Not program a used key.

What is the part # for the chrome key ??

plastic key ??
