Did you keep the stock tires (245/45x17) or did you put 235s in the fronts? I read about the rubbing with the 245s. If you kept the 245s in the front, have you experienced any rubbing?
/\
Arnel, you cannot fit the stock tire on the stock rim from a 211 onto the 210, it will rub in front as I noted. And I know this how? EXPERIENCE. Check the sticky as I said in the other thread, it has ALL of the information you need for your particular question. You have two or perhaps three related posts on the same issue in different threads, which is just causing confusion.

Our e320 came with the e500 wheels on it when we bought it. Actually that was a big incentive for us to buy the car. The Wheels were bought on tire rack and sent to a mercedes shop to be properly mounted and to ensure correct fit. I know the tries have to be a little smaller than the w211 size. The only "problem" with these wheels is all the extra attention your car gets because it looks so dam good! If you look on some other wheels threads and i think the picture sticky you can find some pics of my wagon with the e500 wheels. If not i can post some.

Benz50602 - check the first page of this thread, post 10. Nice looking wagon! We've got the same rims.
Well, here's a fourth car for you, with 17" Sport Package wheels, IIRC. I'm getting close to tire time. These came with 245/45/17, and based on what I'm reading here, I'm thinking about going down to 235, which also seems like a more common size and maybe a hair cheaper?

Hey, dcdude, the appearance wheels have never thrilled me on the sedan but they do look good on the wagon...go figure.
But you are correct, 235/45-17 is the proper size for the W210 chassis, the 245/45-17 is the W211 size. If you can clear them and don't mind the speedometer/odometer/mileage being off due to the oversize, it does marginally increase your traction through slightly larger contact patches. Since you don't have any rub, you can use whichever you prefer. The cost difference should be minimal in any event.
