My battery on the E300D is dying...it barely starts the car now... Has anyone used Optima battery on the W210 model? Know the Optima battery P/N? Or, anyone has good luck with other brands of battery that fit the car? Thanks

Sam's club had direct fit for diesels for about $75 with like 80, or 100 months warranty.
Clostco had the smaller for E320 for $70
I've had an Optima in mine for a couple of years. With the battery being under the rear seat, I like the idea of an Optima. Do a search for my user name and Optima and there is a good thread and discussion with pictures. if you don't use an Optima, make sure the battery is vented properly.
