Post Adjusting outside temperature display. HOW?

Hi there!
Can anyone tell me how to adjust the outside temp. on my E200 (210) ? The display onthe dashboard showed -38 and now reads +58 (WOW!)
Where exactly is the temp sensor located and what is this fluctuation?

Little

nib shaped probe sticks out from the slotted area down by your drivers side fog light.

I have seen fluctuations too but nowhere near 96 degrees!

Look under the front of the car on the driver's side, you should see a black thing protruding from a lower body panel. That is the sensor and it can become unplugged, loose, or go bad. I'd check the connection or tighten it first and if that doesn't help replace it.
