strange leak

Need a bit of help troubleshooting this thing. I have a 2001 E430 (now my wifes car). She was rear ended a few days ago and not driven until I can replace the back cracked light lens. Anyway, when I reparked the car yesteday I noticed a small amount of "fluid" under the front of the car. I looked closer and found that a good bit of this "fluid" has puddled just infront of the engine right under all the fan belts and whatnot. Puddled more on the window washing fluid reservoir side. Could this be a power steering o ring blowout? Any help would be great. And sorry for the vague description. I have never worked on these cars, only my 996 911 and things are much different between the two Thanks in advance!

A good start for locating the leak would be to find out what color the fluid is, also put some on your finger and see if its oil base or water base.

Check the power steering and break fluid.

400 is nothing for bigger part on MB.
I spend more for cigarette pack -sized pedal positioning sensor.
Household dimmer potentiometers with all the electronics cost $5

Wow

somebody got marked up.OE radiator from radiator.com 200 bucks.OEM from germanstar.net about $259,a diy job for sure and definitely not a 400 buck labor plus the extra profit on the radiator job.
I guess ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
Don't let him replace the mass air sensor for you he might charge you 500 bucks for a 10 minute r/r and a 160 buck part.

did he check why the radiator failed? If he did not find the cause the problem may repeat.

I need a radiator replaced also. Quoted a price of $430 by a radiator specialist shop. The indy shop wanted $725. I think your $800 is too much.
