Any pics of 255/40/17 tires on a E430 Sport?

I was checking for tires on tirerack and notice that it is possible to install 255/40/17's... question: will it fit over my regular stock rims or will i need newer rims or what would I need to do? I really don't want to buy new rims as the stock are ausom.

I am thinking the back should have the 255's and the front the 235's, thats the only mod I want to make and leave everything else stock.

If anyone has pics of a E430 Sport with the 255's in the back, I would love to see them to get an idea.

TIA all.

I have 245x18s on mine and they are really close to rubbing. If you are going for look I will say not much changes. Performance wise I think you lose more than gain. I did quite a bit of research before replacing my OEM. Give me an email and I'll send you picks.

You probably could get 255s on the stock rims, but they would bulge. Not the safest, nor the best for traction.

You may also rub.

Get some amg

35/31 offsets and stick the 255/235 roll the front fenders and call it good.
No 255's on stock rims.

Your stock

rims are E430: Sport Package: 17 x 7.5” ET37
a 235 is the max you could go safe on a 7.5 and with that et on the front it would be problematic even with the 235
255's would not only not be safe with 37 offset on the front would not work.

btw it is best to pm someone if requesting anything that way you can exchange email addresses without a bot picking your's up on an open post.Hit edit erase it and pm him before a spammer floods you.
