Strange info on cluster - anybody had this before ?
Hi guys, today after bringing the car ('01 E320) to a comlete stop and shifting it into Park, my cluster (where the mileage is shown) all of a sudden displayed 0 km/h in big bold letters and it did not go off until I removed the key. Again, this is inside the milage display section that never displays speed otherwise. What does this 0 km/h message mean?

Its your speed in Kilometers per hour. Your car switched over for some reason.

I think acarter53 is correct. The first screen that you come to if you depress the +/- button on your steering wheel gets you to an MPH or I guess in your case, a KPH screen. If where you live goes by KPH you probably hit that button. If not then your "problem" is beyond my abilities to troubleshoot.

thanks, I understand the definition of km/h, however my worry was that this info was digitally displayed in a section where it doesn't belong (in huge bold type). See the illustration to better understand.

My display when I choose that option is not as bold as yours, but that could be a difference due to where you live. As I stated earlier, that is the same screen where I see my speed in MPH if I use the +/- steering wheel button to change to that.
