The low fuel light on my instrument cluster isn't working. Doesn't come on when I turn the key to start and has never come on when fuel is low. Fuel gauge works fine otherwise. Is it a burned out bulb behind the cluster, or something else?

In my experience the fuel has to get VERY low for it to come on, as in down to about 2 gallons. I have never noticed that it flashes when I start the car. If I am wrong with the other comments, I think a burned out bulb is a probable cause.
