Is there anyway I could stop from having the mileage displayed on the computer and have something in its place, the service doodah only displays for around 10secs or so and then back to mileage!

We have different cars, but when I change the dashboard display on mine it stays right there until I change it or turn off the car (goes back to mileage in that case). I had a 1998 E430 but I don't remember how that acted in this regard.

Sure! Pull one of the side marker bulbs out. Then you will have a lamp out warning instead of the mileage displayed. Or you could always run a quart low on oil, or out of washer fluid.
Other than that, I can't think of a way to hide the mileage without unhooking the display.

Hahahaha.......thats funny.....
That is the infamous warning that annoys the sh*t out of me. I've had all three at some point......I think all of us here can relate to that. What sucks is the washer fluid level warning comes on and you don't change it coupled with that Beeping noise, your passanger can see the warning and may think you don't maintain your ride....LOLoLOLOL
