Arrow Fuel light went haywire today!

As I was driving today, the low fuel light came on and started blinking. The was 3/4 tank full of gas in the car and the fuel light was blinking on and off like the hazard lights. After about 15 minutes I pulled over, turned the car off and restarted it. No more blinking.
What's up with that?!@##$%%^

Ensure that your fuel cap is tight and that the seal is good.

Per

Matt, it detected a major vapor leak and triggered the warning for a loose cap.Not only check the cap is on but check that the gasket is still in good shape. If it is clear now, fine. If it triggers a cel post the code when you read it.

I let a friend borrow my car one day and told him he had to fill up my gas tank. My light was blinking and I called my SA. He told me to pull over in a parking lot and check my gas cap. Sure enough my dope friend forgot to put the cap on as he had it on the side with the wire thing holding it. I didn't smell gas at all when I opened the gas tank though. Problem was solved afer I put the cap on. Needless to say someone got an ear full LOL!

Question

the same thing happens to me periodically....and my gas cap is ALWAYS on firmly and fully....

i always just chalked it up as glitch in the system since it's so sporadic....

is it likely i have a more serious issue??

The same

thing being the blinking fuel warning or an off and on check engine light at times?
If the warning pry out the gasket, inspect it and flip it over,a light film of petroleum jelly on each side will keep it pliable.Or next time you order filters from autohausaz.com to change your oil order a new cap.
If a CEL when it shows read the code with your obd2 scanner and post it here for all to see
