from the pic, anyway. Look at the bottom edge of the climate control cluster above; it looks like a W210. The W124 climate control has the "wheel" to set the temp and five or six buttons for the various functions. That is the same radio as I have in my '97 E420.
The point is moot, as indicated by ikchris, as the radio lacks the fiber optic connection, and I also doubt it would integrate with the steering wheel mounted controls that were not available on the earlier cars.

Is the display the only thing wrong with yours? In my previous MB, I had a scratchy volume control knob that also did not comtrol the volume very well. The dealer ordered a re-manufactured one from some place and exchanged it for mine. It was a little costly, but the new radio worked very well. I'm sorry but I don't know which place they sent it to.
I see you are in Philadelphia. In an area like that, I'm sure you can find someone to work on it. In boondocks West Virginia, the car stereo place I took it to recommended that I do what I did. In any event, Good Luck!

Reason: addition
Thanks.
Yes, the display is the only problem. The volume pot works well. Becker will do what you describe (exchange or repair). I e-mailed them to see if they will sell me the display only. When I bought my W124 the volume pot was broken and they did sell me the part ($13) and I repaired it myself.
