yeah, don't worry about the wiring harness, that's not an issue on your year.

the whole job shoulnd't take longer than 20 minutes to someone who has done it before, and less then 1 hr to someone doing it for the first time. pretty easy job on m104, but it needs to be done every 30k miles.
Confused ! My Owner's manual (M104.995) says Bosch F9DCO and the Bosch catalog suggests Bosch 4301 Platinum 2+.

According to this link:
best spark plugs - ShopForum
the model number for that plug changed to the F8DC4, so its basically the same.

Dood, I don't know what brand of crack they have you smokin' up there, but don't send any out this way.

RubenCR, thanks for the post, you're now immortalized in the DIY sticky thread.

For those of you contemplating a spark plug change, while these are high voltage circuits (at least downstream of the coils), they're also completely dead so long as your key remains in your pocket. No need to disconnect the battery first.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

1996

m104 in the w210 is also noted for the harness problems. So if you have a 96 inspect the wires in the harness.
