The first was the replacement of my Throttle Position Sensor...piece of cake. But I'm still having problems with something...

Once all was replaced, I took it out for a drive and still had some hesitation but was hoping it was needing some reset time or something. After replacing the MAF and the TPS i still get the bucking and sluggishness. It almost seems like shifting is an issue. Sometimes it'll be going through the gears and once it gets to about 3rd, it's almost like it hits the rev limiter (at least has the same reaction but not as fast). Do I need another MAF because this one was faulty?
Second...had a headlight go out...but it wasn't burnt out. Opened the hood to replace the bulb only to smell electrical smell. When I took off the bulb cap I found the bulb to be perfect but once I removed the bulb found that there was some melting on the connector. What the crap is all that about? I put the bulb back in and it works fine now. Has anyone had this issue before?
