Is there a good place to determine the value of a W210. I saw in another thread that mentioned that kbb.com doesn't seem to give an accurate value. NADA seems to be close, but wondering if there are others.
KBB helps, but unfortunately seems a bit high most of the time. You can watch the newspaper, especially one in a larger market, unfortunately, you only get to see asking prices & not actual sales prices.
A real test, if you have a week or two, is to watch a few similiar examples on e-bay & see what they sell for. You may dismayed to see that only maybe half will sell in a given 5-10 day period. Also, some may sell low or not at all as potential buyers have pulled a carfax & not been interested in buying after viewing.

Reason: additional info added
When we had our truck totaled, the insurance refused to use kbb, or nada and used local market value. That was a publication not available to the public. They send me some copies of actual sales and listing in my area and I confirmed they were right with the estimate.

NADA is the best source going. Most dealers now use NADA. But do look around and try your best to determine local market value. Some cars have much less/more value in some areas over others.
for your 2002
tops,high mile,clean.
market price private party.
it is a cash market value car,so expect to be talked down.
ohlord
forget nada or kbb they are for chumps or dealers or both.
This guy's right: I forgot when I mentioned KBB above that it was Edmund's we more closely followed when I was last in the car sales biz. The pricing was pretty realistic on 210's.
