I bought my '98 E320 wagon used with 95,000 miles on it. When I started it up the message came on "Oil Sender Defective". I had a new one installed (the dealer gave it to me free) and now it still says the same thing. Do I need to do something to re-set it? Unfortunately the dealer is 500 miles away and I don't want to drive back to get him to do it.
plugged in?
did it work when they gave it to you?Or did you drive away with it not working?
ohlord
you can reset the fss,but I don't think that will clear a defective sensor warning.
