I find that I need to change my cabin filters every 12,000 to 15,000 miles. 48,000 miles is way too long.

Yeah, I was really surprised at the dirt and the small leaves and such that had made their way into the filter. Attached is a blow-up picture of one corner, showing all of the pine needles and such that were in the filter. A bit of the new filter is included for contrast.
I emailed the PO, sent him a photo. He was astonished, didn't know that there was such a thing as a cabin filter. (He's an IT guy, if it isn't on the network, it doesn't exist. )
I'll probably inspect the cabin filters every six months, change annually unless they look really dirty earlier. With my wife the major driver, the car should get only about 10000 miles annually.

Jeremy, what weight fluid did you use for tranny and differential? where did you buy the filter? Is Mercedes OEM fluid as good...? I can't find the tranny fluid on autohausaz.com, but they have a "filter kit" and I'm not sure if it's OEM or not. They also have two fuel filters, did you use the Bosch?

I don't know what weight ATF is, just what comes in the bottles. It looks thin so I suppose it must be about 10 weight. The differential takes standard 75W-90. The transmission filter came in a kit with the transmission pan gasket but Autohaus AZ has a catalog problem and sent the wrong one. I re-used the existing filter and gasket and just changed the fluid. I don't know anything about the fluid Mercedes uses at the factory but can't imagine why it wouldn't be good even if expensive. I bought the Mahle fuel filter. As near as I can tell, they are all good so I usually buy the least expensive.
I have remove all the six screws but the compartment still cant pull out?
As I recall, mine had only four screws. [You don't say what is your car.] You have to bend the top center of it down to clear the latch. Not very much, you don't want to snap the thin material. If you carefully lever and wiggle, it will pop free. You don't have to take the door off. There is a light attached to the compartment; you will have to remove the wires when you get it part way out.
I got 2002 E200k model.. My car have six screws both on the top and bottom.. so now i just pull it hard to get the compartment out? and bend a bit at the top center too?
