Hey i have a 1997 E320 W210 model and i was wondering is there any way if you could bring it to some body modification shop or some place like that, for them to turn it into a convertible for a good amount of money.
I've seen CLK's in the same year which pretty much have almost the same exact body shape that are convertibles so it got my mind going.
Can anybody answer this question?
Califorina, shops down there do conv conversions.Pricey....the whole frame has to be modified to make up for the lack of the roof.doors would push out and body would fall apart.
ohlord
would you know if theres any shops on the east coast, north east, like around
New York, Connecticut and New Jersey you know that area
What do you consider pricey though
Maybe more.East coast try florida on google.

Sell it,and get the clk
Beautiful 2000 burgundy Convertible Mercedes-Benz CLK 320 Cabriolet 2Door, Charcoal top and interior, Fully Loaded, 67,000 miles, Warranty good until April 2008. Call Evelyn at (856) 582-5898 if interested.
This reminds me of the similar mindset posts a la "I have a 1998 E320, how hard would it be to put an AMG body kit on? and ohyeah I almost forgot and can I put an AMG engine in it too?"
At some point the answer simply has to be, "sell what you have and buy what you want".
Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

well the reason that i cant actually sell this car and get it is because im a kid, my dad has all the shit registered already and all that stuff and im pretty sure he wouldn't approve of me just selling the car and that stuff. SO, i just find it more convenient to transform this car rather than selling and purchasing another one

For what it would cost you, it might just be cheaper to buy a whole second car and let your dad keep the original one. No modification shop, no matter how good they are, will be able to put the engineering muscle into this project to make the car drive like an MB. Go find a 1993 to 1995 E320 Cabriolet if you need four real seats, or buy a 1999 CLK Cabrio if you can live with two small back seats.
If your dad isn't going to approve of you selling the car, I doubt he'll approve of you having it hacked to pieces, which will make it much more difficult to re-sell when the time comes. If you're looking for the convenient way to go, trade your car in on what you want.
is a 4 door convertible, the Ocean Drive concept has been given green light for production.
Cheers
