Will these wheels fit on my 97' E320

2003 OEM Mercedes wheels off a 2003 SL500. They are 17X8.5 ET35 all around non staggered, with the tires being Continentals sport contact 255-45-17

Another member has them up for sale and I would very much like to buy them if they fit.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi, Duke.

The tires are way too big (235/45-17 is proper spec) and the front wheels may need spacers to fit due to the greater width; you'll also need custom lug bolts with R14 ball seats and R12 threads. (I have 211 wheels on my 210, they're 17x8 with no spacer but very little clearance, that's why I'm thinking you might need a spacer up front.)

If you really, really want them I can point you to a source for the lug bolts (about $70 with shipping), but you won't know for sure if you need spacers until you mount up some 235/45-17s on them.

All in all just be sure they're exactly what you want because you're looking at an additional investment for tires, lug bolts and perhaps spacers.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg
