I've come across a real headace ... first my Instrument cluster gauges stop working all of a sudden and i tried every single thing, scanned no computer which is VDO working fine,, got the gauges read on AC unit , all readings are fine.... i got my car checked for fuses, or short circuits all fine.... I finally thought to replace it.... but i could not find the same part number cluster so i tried several AMG clusters and other model clusters but only the Fuel indicator works .. all else remains dead....
Any help
P.S. yesterday when i was getting my coils changed all the gauges suddenly worked but then died again...
1. Do i need to find exact same part number on the cluster to replace?
2. How can i install any other cluster that i find? is there a way??
had the fss system,so you cant use them.Iknow it's a long way for you to call but online you can email aurora auto wrecking in seattle wa. and they will be able to tell you what cluster fits your platform.
why are you having coils replaced?
Thanks ,,, will try to contact them,,, well my car had a shake in the engine and throttle was very week,,, i got it scanned and it said coils not igniting cylinder 3 and 6... so i thougt y not replace all three together,,, well that paid back quite well... my car is rocketing around once again...
I got on ebay these two offers, but unfortunately the supplier dont have the part number... which do i choose?
My car delivery date is (according to VIN) 11.09.1996 ... while my registeration papers show it as model 1997...
