"Inner Grill" - Benzworld.org

I was looking at a lot of the DIY pictures on various websites and through my owner's manual, there seems to be a plastic "inner" grill on all of the 210's I have seen, it's black and visible when the hood/bonnet is raised and has a cutout for the horn, I have a 2002 E320 but it doesn't have one, am I missing this piece or did the 02's not have one?

Thank you both, I was racking my brain trying to figure out if I was missing it or not.

Does it just snap in place or do I need to buy some sort of clips too?

Can somebody post a photo of what you are talking about - I don't see anything on my 2002 E320 either. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong place?

We should go to MB of South Bay together and try to get a two for one, or a discount...for some reason that dealer gives me a "funky" feeling, maybe it's because they belong to Autonation/Power...

I got my 02 from Auto Stiegler right before they were bought by the Calabasas Motorcars parent's and became Mercedes of Encino, I even received a dozen roses, just like old man Stiegler would have done...shame it has become a "corporate" dealership.

My wife and I are going to be in S.F. around the 21st for some cancer fund raiser marathon, going to take the 320 on a road trip, what's there to do up there or at least where is a "must eat" place for good steak and drinks?

Although I've been using them for about the last 10 years, let's just say their performance have been less than stellar. I normally only use them for minor parts and recall work. Maybe that's why they not all that interested in my business. The 3 times I had work done there, they were late from 4 hours to 1 day after the promised completion time, without any apology.
