After reviewing the TireRack reviews in April I bought a pair of Continental ContiPro: they were the newest & best rated as well as about $40 less than the Michelin MXV4's. Have driven 8k with them & very pleased, no noticeable wear. Have noticed the newest (available beginning this past summer) MXV4's now come out on top in the tests & few surveys submitted but do watch the price. These comments are based on your sticking with the same performance/comfort levels your car came with new.

The new MXV4 johnamoss mentioned is called the Michelin Primacy MXV4. I bought a set this past June from Costco for my 03 4Matic Wagon. Very nice tires. You can read more reviews of this tire from various websites. Very smooth and great wet traction.
on the costco, they will order what you want if they don't have that primacy in stock. Also since they are in your area go shop Les Schwab, they have a performance line of tires H and V rated that are built for performance,N.W. weather and quiet ride.Plus when you go in to get a quote to compare with costco you can in the bigger stores dream about all the wheel choices and use the virtual wheel computer to look at how different wheels and even suspension heights would look on your w210,our white wagon looks killer with a 2in drop and some black center polished rim 17's,now all i have to do is talk my wife into the look.
Les sipes the tires also, some are factory siped other you can option it........highly advise you get it done if you buy from them.
