Central Locking Vacuum Pump

Hi,
I’m trying to replace the motor for the Central Locking Vacuum Pump on my 2001 E320 W210.
Does anyone have any ides the Specs on the pump?
I need to know what RPM the Motor in these Rotary type pumps operate at.
Thanks,
Joe

BTW If I get it to work, I’ll post how I did it.

I wish I could help you, but not only I've never heard about MB electric pump going bad, but I doubt the motor for those can be bough separately. I have spare vacuum pump from my motorhome, but it is digraph type.
Good luck on your search and welcome to the forum.

Thanks Kaj,
They do go bad. The system is designed so that when the function is complete, it creates a back pressure that cuts off the motor. If there is a leak in ith system, the pump runs until it burns out.
It's an easy fix if you could get the motor.
I believe that Mercedes and Bosch have an arrangement with the makers of these motors that prevent the makers from selling them to anyone else.
I also believe that the motors are not made in Europe and that is how they get away with this arrangement.
The motor is nothing special really. If I could get some specs I believe it will be possible to find a replacement.
