I saw a 7 Inch flat panel touch screen "computer" for sale - $122. I was wondering if there was a way I could use this to trasmit sound to my radio. In other words, purchase the touch screen, and a new dec and link the two. I know its prob better to get a flip out deck, but this is a "computer" so I figured I could do alot more with it. I saw it in the auto section and they also advertised it as possible head rest units. Any thoughts?

You mean control the radio through touch screen?
If yes, it has to have a communication protocol that is supported by the controlling device ie; tablet pc. Your radio might not even have controller inputs / ports. You cannot have your existing unit using this flat screen panel unless it's the same unit ie; pioneer
Hey Sly, If you have a Dension GW500 or some other system with a RCA or aux input, a place to plug an Apple Airport extreme (inverter into a cigarette charger), and a wireless tablet or ultraportable computer that will run iTunes, You could Stream your tunes over the ad hoc wireless network in your car played through your car system. Always wanted to do that, but the ultaportables are so expensive.
