black e320.....i have some hood chips that are driving me CRAZY....would any of your recommend touch up paint and if so is there a diy...i havent searched because im at work im just worried about how black touch up paint will look
black is easy to match, if you have some other color it would be better of using paintscratch.com. i am currently waiting on an order from them, first timer hopefully the color matches well.

Dealers sell a kit consisting of 1 vial of color and another of clear coat. I have never used it, but others have written that the provided applicator is not the best; use a paper match instead.
I had my dealer's detail shop fix some chips that I had but they did not do a very good job (they have something they call a paint flow gun). They did not charge me anything extra for that, and included it as a no charge part of a full detail, about $125.00.

I have a brilliant silver e430 and I have found that duplicolor applicators filled with paintscratch color matched touchup works great! The duplicolor has an awesome rollerball applicator. I bought some VW reflex silver ( doesn't matter what you buy, but I figured silver would be best for me), emptied it out and filled it with the color matched brilliant silver from paintscratch, and fixed every chip. I then followed it up with duplicolor clear coat. Perfect.
I'm more interested in how the prices compare to quality paint at the auto paint store. That stuff isn't cheap, but I don't think it's $350/gallon for non-metallic black paint (one of the two cheapest colors).
I assume that by "over the counter paint bottles" you mean rattle cans from Wal*Mart or similar.
