Advice after advice on radio,HID(xenon) here it is
Hello There,
Been to so much thinking what will be the appropriate aftermarket radio,
and HID.Finally i got them in.I am grateful for the good advice from some of
you, especially Raymond and ilkhris. They are not the best aftermarket stuff.Sorry i put my other
car just to compare and this benz hid looks brighter than the blue one.
Cheers

looks awesome, does that in dash cd player work with the steering wheel controls? like adjusting volume, changing tracks or changing the radio station? i am looking to get one of those too. i believe that radio is only 25watts x 4, and nowadays all the aftermarket ones out there are 50 watts x 4. i wonder if the 50watts x 4 would sound alot better. thanks.
From the person i bought it from he said yes it should work(radio) on the model with steering control. But mine is 99 e430 w/c does not have those. As you know
those model started only in year 2000.The good thing about it is the volume
compensates for any inherent sound it receives w/c means the volume goes
higher and lowers when you start descending or less noise. If you want
my opinion regarding wattage i did not see much difference compared to the
original one.But then again each one of us have different taste. This is the closest
that i can find w/c matches the top portion of the climate control.I could have
bought that very beautiful aftermarket alpine but i change my mind the last
minute. Also this is a real Plug & Play.
Hope it helps

Yes it is an aftermarket hid(h7).As you know i am here in Ontario,Canada.
I am sure there will be so many dealers who will sell you this there in D.C.
If you want i can take a picture of the box where it came from, just let me know.
Also what is nice about it is i did not have a warning saying "Lamp Defective"at
the instrument cluster. The guy took only 1 hour thats it.Oh the price
it is C$320 + our tax of 14% installed.
