E320 Service Interval Reset

Hello

Forgive me if this has already been covered on this site, but does anybody know how to reset the service interval warning?

I have a E320 CDI avantgarde on a 55 plate.

Help required please!

THanks

pretty simple (at least on the 2000 E320)
switch ignition on
press up or down scroll keys on steering wheel until
the service A or B and the wrenches appear

then hold down the reset key or R (on left side of cluster)
for at least 4 seconds
it will then prompt you to press R again to reset service interval
then hold down R again for several seconds

I've seen some instruction to do this that are totally crazy
like hit R 3x in ignition position 1
then simultaneously press scroll and turn to position 2
etc.. etc..

This THE procedure

I just did it 5 min ago on my 2008 CLK550.
They've messed something up in the dealership, the mileage was OK until the time interval took over more than 2 months earlier.
Had problem communicationg with the dealer and this saved me the trip.
Thanks!
Radek

There are differences in facelift and pre-facelift (different instrument cluster), also in W211 has two different instructions between early models and later ones (Both pres facelifts). Must be very careful which ignition position is required, and 3 press/5s hold combination with correct view start menu...

-Do not try this at home -

Also what even manuals don't disclosure, on some older models you need to start the procedure from "sleep" mode - all lights and displays off.
