well i thought it was easy ,,,it will not start now, i had it running a bit then it stalled its self out but i hear a loud noise at idle but if i rev it up a little bit it is gone, so what is my next step??? does this have a primer like my W123 it sounds like i have air in the system

Check you have correctly replaced the o-rings around the filter housing.

You should also have filled the filter to the brim with diesel before you screwed it back on.

It is self priming, you'll have to keep turning it over. Make sure you give the starter motor a rest every minute or two.

As said above, you MUST replace the O rings when you change the filter. They often do not come with the filter like you would expect.

In addition, it's very easy to miss the pre-filter o-ring. Unless you're looking for it, you may not even realize that there's one there; but your new filter will not have it installed and it doesn't come with it.

The big filter did come with the o-rings the last time I changed it.

Pre-filling diesel filter is not recommended, since contamination might screw injectors.
Just push gas pedal to the floor and keep cranking. See the other thread in this section about fuel run out.

Unlikely. Not something I've ever heard of. But if it does bother the OP, either refill it with clean diesel from a can, or buy some injector cleaner and fill it with that.

And theres no need to push the pedal to the floor since the accelerator control is electronic.
