ECU reset
I'm driving to Richmond in the AM. I'm thinking about doing a ECU reset for for the trip. I have never done this before. Are there any bad stories from doing a reset?

if this is the highly advertised reset to the adaptive tranny....i hardly think there is
anything to worry about. when you bring your car to the dealer for transmission
issues, one of the things they do is that....but I dont know if they do it the same
way.
think about it, all it serves to do is to erase the shift points it has learned/acquired
over the weeks/months as to your accumulative driving style and sets the shift
points accordingly. if you reset, it clears the buffer and the shift points are
restored to default...as-new settings.
drive aggressively and the shift points are tailored to lower RPMs. conversely, driving
conservatively lends to higher shift points on the RPM curve.
to me, these reset did little and i didn't notice much difference because i baby the
car and gas costs are high......i just cant bring myself to stomp on the pedal.
