DIY - Cracking Rubber Windshield Trim (lower)

Anyone else besides me have this issue?

The black rubber strip that runs along the bottom of my outer windshield is cracking and falling apart. It looks really nasty. Have any of you ever replaced or needed to replace this rubber strip?

I saw a used E320 on a dealer's lot with that problem. You're right, it looks like Hell, and I wish you luck getting that remedied. It made me want to treat my own rubber right away!

I did replaced mine it has small cracks on edge of the rubber.

Its' all one piece, & don't worry it's easy to install & cheap . Here are the part numbers:

210.831.0958 - $20.00
210.831.1058 - $20.00

Goodluck,

Joe, if that is only 1 piece, why the 2 part numbers?

What I meant is the plastic & the rubber are one piece (not seperated) .

2 part numbers beacuse you need left & right side.

Sorry for the confusion I should have explained better (that's why I quoted him on my first reply)

Whew, I just installed the new pieces. Not as easy as I anticipated because I couldn't get the screw hole to line up. After playing around with it, I finally got it to fit.

Practically all older model of E320, perhaps, upto 2002 will have same problem. I had mine replaced also. E350 is tatally different from E320.
