Can a remote unit unlock the vehicle but not satisfy the DAS (for instance if the batteries are weak)?
Does the metal key do anything to satisfy the DAS besides turn the lock cylinder?
Does the alarm light in the central locking switch give any indication of whether the DAS is satisfied?
What is the most likely solution if the car won't start on occasion because of the DAS not being satisfied?
Unlocking with the blade in the door or trunk lock should satisfy DAS. It is simply the key turning in the cylinder; there is no transponder in the key.
The most likely cause of DAS preventing a start when it should not is a failing K-40 relay module.
