97 E420 Performance Parts/tsb/recall?

Hi,
i'll be picking up a benz in the upcoming weeks and i have a few questions;
where can i find access to performance parts online or otherwise since i definitely have to lower the ride height, add headers,remove the hood star and blacken the grill.
i have looked and so far i came up with bekker as the only source thus far and all the other sites recommended here just didn't seem to have any of these parts.
also why do none of the big "benz" tuners have any parts to the w210? do they just not advertise i'cos its "old" ? if anyone has tips on where to find these parts that would be great.
also regarding the engine recall on the harmonic balance(sp) where can i read up more on this?
finally any other suggestions/recommendations /tips to ensure my ownership is as rewarding as my bimmer.

A dealer can tell you in a heartbeat which recalls have been performed and which are still open.

what about sources for performance parts ? anything online other than bekker or performance4benz?
